Thank you for using the 1SM Services! We are committed to providing you the best medical school preparation services possible.
The 1SM Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy” or “Policy”) describes how we collect, use, and disclose information through our platform (“Platform”), which includes the website, mobile applications, and any written, electronic, and oral communications to facilitate our provision of Services (“Services” as defined by our Terms and Conditions). Please read the following to learn what information we collect from you (“you,” “your”) and how we use that information. By accessing and using the Platform or our Services, you acknowledge and agree to terms of our Privacy Policy.
Our Services may change from time to time. As a result, we reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice. If you object to any changes, you must cease using our Services. We recommend you review this Policy periodically. Your continued use of our Services after any changes or revisions to this Policy indicates your agreement to the terms of the revised, then-current Policy.
When you use our Services, we may collect or receive your “Personal Information” to best provide our Services and operate our business. The following contains a non-exhaustive list of the types of Personal Information we may collect:
A. Information You Provide to Us Directly
You may provide your Personal Information to us when you use our Services, including when you create or register an account on the 1SM Platform, search within or place orders through our Platform, contact us with inquiries, respond to surveys, or otherwise access our Platform or Services. This information may include:

User Profile – We collect profile information as provided by you in your 1SM account, including your name, email address, phone number, preferred payment options (discussed below), location, biographical details, and anything else you may decide to share with us and our Platform.
-
Payment / Transaction Information – When you order and pay for Services, you are required to provide payment information that is protected and concealed by third-party software, such as a credit card or debit card linked to one of our payment processing partners. We use this concealed and protected payment information to fulfill your order, complete the transaction, and detect and prevent fraud. In processing your order, we will not be able to access or identify your individual credit or debit card number or banking information. For more details on the security and privacy of your payment information, please refer to the privacy policies of your respective third-party payment processor and our payment processing partners.
-
Communication / Participation – We may invite our customers and users to participate in surveys and contests. When a customer or a user participates, we may request certain Personal Information, such as name and email address and contact information.
B. Information Received as Part of Your Communications and Participation
We maintain all communications resulting from your interactions with us by email, phone, mail, and chat. We use the foregoing communications to address your questions, issues, and concerns and improve our Services and Platform. We also maintain recordings of your Services sessions, which may include audio and video files of your tutoring sessions or classes, which we may use as instructional and promotional material at our sole discretion.
C. Information Automatically Collected During Your Use of the Platform
We may receive and store the following information about you and your device(s) automatically when you access or use our Platform and Services.
-
Your device and software information – We collect technical information associated with your activity on our Platform, which includes information related to your browser and operating system, IP address (the Internet address of your computer), unique device identifiers, your device type, and other information. We use this information for diagnostic and statistical purposes and to administer our Services.
-
Platform Usage Information – We collect information to better understand customer traffic patterns and Platform usage. This may include the webpage that you were visiting before accessing our Platform and the pages or features of our Platform that you browse and how much time you spend there. Location Information – In some cases, you provide your location information directly (e.g., when you update your user account accordingly). In other cases, we may collect your location through GPS, Wi-Fi, wireless network triangulation, or other methods, or we may otherwise infer your location based on other information we collect. We may also collect and store general location information (e.g., IP address). If you permit our Platform to access your location services through the permission system used by your mobile operating system, we may also collect and store the precise location of your device when the 1SM Platform is running in the foreground or background of your device. Social Network Information – We may receive Personal Information about you from third parties and combine it with information we collect through our Platform. For example, we may obtain information when you login through a third-party social network or authentication service, such as Facebook or Google. These services will authenticate your identity and provide you the option to share certain Personal Information with us, which may include your name, email address, address book and contacts, or other information. Similarly, when you interact with us through a social media site or third-party service, such as when you like, follow, or share 1SM content on Facebook, Twitter, or other sites, we may receive information that you permit the social network to share with third parties. We do not control and do not purport to represent the policies of these third-party sites.

We care about keeping you secure and safe while using our Services and navigating our Platform. Keeping you safe requires us to process your Personal Information, such as your device information, activity information, and other relevant information. A parent or guardian of a child under age 13 may review and request deletion of the child’s Personal Information.
We provide our customers and their authorized agents the ability to access and delete Personal Information. In order to exercise these rights, you must login to your account to confirm your identity, which helps us ensure that Personal Information is only made accessible to appropriate parties. Platform users and customers will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising their rights and can return to the Platform or Services after deleting their information.
